Experts In Long Term Care

The Center on Long Term Care brings together key individuals from across The Lewin Group to create an interdisciplinary team with broad expertise in long term care consulting and research.

Lisa Alecxih, Vice President, joined Lewin in 1987. Lisa researches and consults on the elderly, persons with disabilities and long-term care. For 15 years, Lisa has advised federal and state policy makers regarding long-term care financing and elderly health insurance issues. She received her MPA in public affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.

Roger Auerbach, Senior Consultant, joined Lewin in 2001. Roger specializes in the development and implementation of innovative systems to minimize institutional care. As the former Administrator of Oregon's Senior and Disabled Services Division, Roger oversaw the ongoing implementation of Oregon's model programs for home and community-based services and worked extensively with stakeholder groups to identify and address system needs. Roger serves as Chair of the Health and Long-term Care Committee of the National Association of State Units on Aging. Roger holds a JD from the Boston University School of Law.

Karen Linkins, Vice President, joined Lewin in 1999. Karen specializes in health services research and evaluation studies in the areas of behavioral health and community-based long term care systems and policy for the elderly, disabled, and other vulnerable populations. Prior to joining Lewin, Karen was on the research faculty at the Institute for Health and Aging at the University of California, San Francisco. She received a Ph.D. in medical sociology from the University of California, San Francisco.
