Under contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Health Statistics, The Lewin Group worked with other groups to create the Public Health Data Standards Consortium (PHDSC) Web-based Resource Center. The Lewin Group directed the site's construction, including input gathering, site design, and content development (e.g., Public Health Data Standards Tutorial and PHDSC Orientation Presentation).
The PHDSC is a voluntary "confederation" of public and private sector organizations having a common interest in developing, promoting, and implementing data standards for public health and health services research. It serves as a mechanism for ongoing representation of public health and health services research interests in the implementation of HIPAA-AS and for other data standards setting processes.
