Roderick Hooker 

Roderick S. Hooker joined The Lewin Group in 2011 as a health workforce analyst.  He has over 150 peer-reviewed published studies, a book (in its 3rd edition), 12 book chapters, and numerous reports.  Rod was a Coast Guard Reservist (ret.) and a former Peace Corps volunteer.  He served two decades with Kaiser Permanente as a physician assistant and concurrently as a health services researcher with the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research in Portland, Oregon.  He comes to The Lewin Group after working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Dallas, Texas and the University of Texas where he developed and directed a health services research division.  Dr. Hooker is an adjunct professor in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas, as well as a consultant to the Ministry of Health in Ontario and New Brunswick.  Rod received an MBA from City University of Seattle and a PhD in health policy from the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government, Portland State University.
