Susan Kerner-Hoeg, Vice President, joined The Lewin Group in 2010 in the Federal National Security and Emergency Preparedness practice. Ms. Kerner-Hoeg has 30 years experience designing, conducting, analyzing, and consulting on quantitative and qualitative research, program evaluation, and management studies for manpower programs. From September 2006 to June 2010 Ms. Kerner-Hoeg was the Director of Military Relations for the Citizen Soldier Support Program (CSSP), a national demonstration program at the University of North Carolina, designed to build community capacity for local support of National Guard and other Reserve Component members and their families. For ten years, Ms. Kerner-Hoeg ran the Organizational and Military Community Research business practice at Caliber Associates/ICF International, which comprised 17 professionals specializing in organization and manpower issues. Her clients included the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the U.S. Army Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation Command, the Army Research Institute, the Army Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, and the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. Ms. Kerner-Hoeg received a B.S. in psychology from Duke University and a M.S. in statistics from The Catholic University.
