Elizabeth Martin joined The Lewin Group in November 2015. She joined Lewin after a successful tenure as the vice president of Program and Network Integrity for Optum-Specialty Networks. In that national role, Martin participated in health care initiatives that served members in both the private and public sectors.
Overseeing system change and public sector program realignment, Martin directed all public and commercial fraud, waste, abuse and error efforts for both behavioral and physical health programs which then included the development of new quality and community-based programs specifically tailored to improving the lives of those with complex needs.
Previously, Martin was CEO for OptumHealth New Mexico, where she provided executive leadership for $430 million statewide, mental health contract and oversight of six regional offices. She came to Optum after twenty years’ private practice to advance the critical components of system change in the public health care system. Licensed to practice law in New Mexico and Texas, Martin is an attorney and former business consultant specializing in operational management and systems building. An expert in alternative financing and program infrastructure, she received her law degree from Boston College and a business degree from Creighton University. Martin is also a candidate for an MA/Ph.D. in depth psychology at the Pacifica Graduate Institute.
"Throughout the engagement, Lewin consultants listened to us and delivered superb analyses and thoughtful guidance–not canned solutions.
