Linda Shields, RN, BSN, joined The Lewin Group in 2013. She has more than 20 years of diversified strategic and operational health care experience in both the public and private sectors.
Shields’ experience includes Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, HRSA grants, commercial Managed Care and Fee for Service, Integrated Health Systems, Taft-Hartley Labor Management Funds, the pharmaceutical industry and large multi-national Employer Groups.
She has assisted states and local governments by providing consultative services for health care management, strategy, implementation, evaluation and compliance in managed care, long-term care, and home and community based solutions.
Shields has been lead consultant for external quality review organizations, compliance and audit, readiness and efficiency reviews, care management and program effectiveness as well as design and implementation of primary care practice transformation from fee-for-service to value-based reimbursement, focusing on person-centered approaches to care.
She is also experienced in outcome measure development and evaluation, performance improvement projects and data analytics and actively participates in regional and national thought leadership regarding driving quality, access and affordability of health care.
Shields received her bachelor of science in nursing from the College of New Jersey.
